Scuba Dive Holidays
Scuba Diving adds that little bit of extra excitement to any holiday. There is nothing like the thrill of strapping on that tank, and hitting the water, and the silence of your breathing being the only sound in your ears. Wherever you are going, let us help you with some dive arrangements. Our extensive travel and dive network is able to assist you almost anywhere in the world.
Scuba South Africa is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and our diving holidays are generally based in and around the southern tip of Africa.
Mozambique stretches for 1,535 mi (2,470 km) along Africa's southeast coast. It is nearly twice the size of California. Tanzania is to the north; Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe to the west; and South Africa and Swaziland to the south. The country is generally a low-lying plateau broken up by 25 sizable rivers that flow into the Indian Ocean. The largest is the Zambezi, which provides access to central Africa.
Mozambique’s tropical ambience, sun-drenched beaches and azure waters offer the visitor both relaxation and various activities.
Mozambique’s limitless opportunities for sunbathing and a variety of watersports draw most visitors to the beach resorts, but there are also a wealth of other activities on offer as well as much of historical and cultural interest to discover.
Mozambique offers some of the best diving in southern Africa. Dive sites are uncrowded and marine life is varied and abundant. The aquamarine waters hold a vast number of tropical and game fish species as well as rare creatures like dugongs, whale sharks and turtles. Conditions compare favourably with those of the Caribbean or the Great Barrier Reef but are not nearly as commercialised. Water temperatures range from 22°C in winter to 31°C in summer and visibility is usually between 5 and 35 metres, with an average year round visibility of 15 metres.
